A New Springtime Mood

We’ve been thinking a lot lately, at times with melancholy and at times with excitement for the unknown. Navigating the pandemic was tough for all; an uncharted territory. Yet, we gradually see the light at the end of the tunnel, and along with it, a new fearless attitude develops in our psyche. It is time to reassess, stay strong, and above all, celebrate every moment in life. Walking on the streets or hanging out with our best friends has always been a privilege. Let’s get out of our pensive selves and start mingling again. We will need fresh new clothes and a smile. For many parts of the planet, springtime is a transitional season; this one is even more as our lives were “on pause” for a year or so. We collected here the best wardrobe options for every occasion and setting. We adjusted them to what we need from now on; a sophisticated mix of style and comfort that never goes out of fashion.

Work from Home

Many people still work from home, which means that we continue to suggest elegant, classic pieces that are comfortable to wear during Zoom sessions. We need tailored clothes made of soft fabrics and neutrals with minimum design details. Opt for the Vince Shirred Long-Sleeve Silk Crepe Blouse that works as a chic, plain canvas. Try neutral knitwear like the Sandro Gabrielle Ribbed Fine-Knit Buttoned Cardigan. Wear a menswear-inspired top such as the Aritzia Wilfred Louvre Satin Button-Up Blouse. Simplicity is key!

Dressing Up

We are wearing beautiful clothes because we are getting into a new era, and on every occasion, we want to look our best. Little by little, parties and other events or get-togethers will come back to everyone’s calendar. Dressing up in a post-pandemic way means that we really want to make a statement. We are back! We are ready to shine bright in the Ted Baker Posyy Cabana Long Sleeve Minidress or the Ganni Polka Dot Print Cotton Poplin Midi Dress. On formal occasions, we will rock the Alexis Thalssa Off-The-Shoulder Shirred Cotton-Voile Maxi Dress.

Elevated Streetwear

When off-duty, out and about the city, we think that athleisure and a luxuriated version of streetwear take over. Sweatshirts, track pants, light cotton tops, knits, and jeans are the absolute stars on the streets. Favorite choices include the Bella Freud 1970 Sequined Sweater and the Alexanderwang.T Cropped Bi-layer V-Neck Sweater. Both work perfectly with the Proenza Schouler White Label Belted Cotton Twill Pants.

Romantic Looks

After too much social distancing, it is time to have fun and be flirty. Boho-chic choices are always flattering, but we also recommend classics inspired by the 40s and the 50s, especially great floral prints, polka dots, and stripes. Add to your wardrobe the Rixo Melanie Polka Dot Italian Floral Long-Sleeve Midi Dress; it reflects the mood. We are also eyeing the Rixo Steph Floral-Print Crepe de Chine Midi Dress and the Rebecca Taylor Emerald Daisy Ruffle Detail Cotton Dress.

Timeless Wardrobe

By now, we have all understood that we need fewer and higher-quality pieces in our closet, so this is an opportunity to invest in well-made fashion that stands the test of time. For Spring 2021, the perfect “classics” include the Zadig & Voltaire Retouched Satin Leo Dress with an always-trendy motif, the Veronica Beard Cooke Leather Dickey Jacket as a luxe layer, and the Alexis Kauri Long Lace Skirt for occasions. Getting ready to charm!
